The Blackout Rugby National Champions Cup will be contested at the start of every season, in each Nation by the previous seasons Cup and Div.I Winners, and will be invitational only.
NB: Cup Winner vs Division I Winner
The fixtures will be played (where possible) on a Sunday Afternoon 2.35pm (Home team Local Time), set via anytime in the 3rd Party Comp Panel, and the format will be this;
They teams will play each other home and then away, in a best of three.
After the 2nd fixture if they are tied on 1 win a piece, the 3rd fixture will be the decider, and the home/away draw in the decider will be chosen at random.
After the completion of the Decider Round, all the National winners will progress onto a BR Cup style knockout (opponents selected at random as per the normal BR Cup)......until the ultimate winner is found.
NB: As there are potentially 34 National Winners, there maybe an elimination round to get us to a nice 32 team finals series (TBC).
If it goes to plan, I would suggest the Final would be in Round 9.
Of course, the BRNCC is NOT COMPULSORY, however it is a chance to play for National Pride and win one of the unique new trophies.
Lastly there are of course some managers who have won both the Cup and Div I Titles, and there I propose that they play the 2nd Place team from Div I or the Cup Runner-Up......but that will be their individual choice.
